Garnier's Bayou Fish Kill Index Page

These pages are best-viewed with Internet Explorer.

To anyone interested in studying these phenomena: I am trying to post all the clues I can find about these local blooms. If you need to contact me for more information or to see other images I took (I have thousands), my e-mail address is "rzoo" at gnt.net.

To the casual observer: These webpages are not an attempt to tell the whole story of the fish, crab, jellyfish and bird kills that happen in our bayous. What I have to share are only my own observations and collected images. At the same time I have been witnessing these problems, others have made other discoveries. For example, during the 2005-2006 fish kills, other people found pink water, dead mullet, dead sturgeons and dead gars, and there were sick or dead fish-eating birds, too. In nearby areas, approximately 90 dolphins died during the 2005-2006 fish kills.
